Historic Hyde Park Featured in American Bungalow

American Bungalow magazine has a feature article written by architectural historian Lucy Jones of Florida History LLC. Lucy is also a Tampa Preservation, Inc. board member. The article takes a look back at the creation of the historic Hyde Park neighborhood, where the oak-lined streets join Bayshore Boulevard and the world’s longest continuous sidewalk. The article tells the tale of this turn-of-the-20th-century historic urban neighborhood that seemed to have fallen apart during the 1960s and ’70s, only to reassert itself as the century closed. Past American Bungalow issues have featured historic Seminole Heights and Ybor City neighborhoods. The magazine is richly illustrated with color photographs as well as informative articles.
