Preparations for Historic Kenwood’s 15th Annual BungalowFest are in the final stages. Once again in keeping with the theme of Art and Architecture, HKNA will be combining its home tour with creative performances throughout the day. And to kick it all off, HKNA is planning an evening celebration featuring a Moonlight Tour and Evening Bash including food, libation and live entertainment.
BungalowFest 2013 features many significant events. On Friday, November 1, it will kick off with an enchanted Moonlight Tour and Evening Bash from 7 pm to 11 pm. On Saturday, November 2nd from 10 am to 4 pm, the traditional home tour takes place with pantomimes throughout the day. Thirteen homes are on tour. Four homes are on display during the Moonlight Tour Friday night starting 127-23rd. St. N.. Nine homes are featured during the Day Tour on Saturday starting at 2900-3rd. Ave N. All homes are located south of 5th Avenue N.
On top of all of this, HKNA will debut a documentary featuring an oral history on Kenwood and it will be featuring all of the entries from Kenwood’s First Salvage Dawgs Art Contest.
Tickets may be purchased in advance at BungalowFest.org and at Craftsman House, 2955 Central Ave., St. Pete. Advanced purchased home tour tickets, including admission to all performances, are $15 per person. On the day of the event they will be $20. Tickets for the Moonlight Tour and Evening Bash are $40 per person.
Mark your calendars! The 5th Annual VM Ybor Home Tour will be held on Sunday, October 27 from 12noon – 4pm. This “not so typical” home tour features the eclectic, diverse and historic V.M. Ybor community. The tour features 8 beautiful residences and will be sure to please local Tampa locals, historians, and visitors alike.
