October 20, 2016, 5:30 – 8:00 p.m., Ybor City Museum State Park: Opening celebration with food, beverages and music for a special exhibit on Cuba’s role in shaping Tampa’s cultural heritage. There is no admission fee for this event, however please register if you plan to attend.
October 21, 2016, 5:30 – 8:00 p.m., Cuban Club: The Cuba-Tampa Baseball Connection. A presentation by Dr. Robert González Echevarría, Yale University Sterling Professor of Hispanic and Comparative Literatures and Author of The Pride of Havana: A History of Cuban Baseball and Cuban Fiestas. Introduction by The Honorable E.J. Salcines. Reception from 5:30 – 6:15. Presented in collaboration with the Cuban Club. There is no admission fee for this event, however please register if you plan to attend.
